So in March we saw some cheep cheep air plain tickets to San Fran and decided we would go in August. who wouldn't like to go on a mini vacation for there anniversary.
So August came and we got excited, Thursday night we headed to Las Vegas to spend the night in a hotel so we could catch our earlier flight. lucky for us we made it in the car with out Bristol throwing up, unlucky for us she woke up a few times through out the night throwing up.
we got up and made it to the airport just in time... we under estimated the time it takes to get through security with a child car seat and stroller. I guess we've also been very lucky to never have lines threw security before until this time lol
we almost left her car seat at the security check point at LAS but remembered it before we got to our gate :)
we got on the plane and saddled in for our hour in a half ride. I brought a bunch of stuff for her to do but ended up just ending up spending my time hitting the back button every time she tried buying things on her screen. i only wish i could have had a movie down loaded on my phone or we need to invest in a tablet of some sort for that purpose. all in all she was great and there were other kids her age on our flight which made me feel better.
Justin didn't know the picture was being taken
checking out google maps and zooming way in
after we got to SF we picked up our rental car and headed to the Pier to see the sea lions
normally when we come in November there are a million but in August there was only a hand full.
Bristol wasn't to sure what was happening lol
checking out Alcatraz and all the sail boats
we got to watch this guy juggle fire and get out of a strait jacket and chains well we ate some lunch
next we hit up the aquarium at the bay
it was a little windy but over all a really nice day, we walked down to all the little shops and tried to hit the golden gate but there was an accident so we skipped it after waiting 30 Min's and only moving
four feet.
that night we went back up to the Pier for dinner at the Pier market. i think that was the first time i wasn't like in love with dinner from there, but it could have been the wrestling a semi sick 2 year old all dinner.
the Coit tower at night.
We headed to the painted lady's (I'm sure one day Bristol will think this was so cool) when the golden gate was a no go before dinner.
of course the park across the street was all dug up but it was still a cool little stop
The next morning we headed to Muir Woods, as we got closer we found out the parking there was full and so we jumped on a bus and got bused up.
of course the bus put her to sleep and the nice ranger at the pay station lent us a free stroller.
once we started up the trail it wasn't long till she woke up, and was running all over.
picture with dad with a huge red wood tree
it was so nice being in the wood's and seeing all the cool TALL trees
we then headed to the beach, it was a little breeze and cooler then i planed for but we had some good fun playing in the sand.
this was the beach i ran past on my half Marathon but the fog was so heavy we couldn't see it, that's an old windmill in the back round.
cheese head's
writing Bristol's name in the sand
Justin playing in the cold water.
it was so cool seeing all that party's and Bonn fire's going on. we had a gentle man come over to us well we were playing and point out some dolphin's hanging out.
the across the street aways we headed to the very first children's play ground for Bristol to burn off the last of her riding on the bus and car energy
a cool cement slide
Sunday Morning we headed over to the jelly belly factory over by wine country. the only regret i have is not getting some cute pictures of us drinking grape juice box's in front of a vine yard.
Bristol looking like mom really more pictures lol
checking out all the bean's
have some Jelly Belly's
(side note when we were just about done Justin got sick, i was supper lucky to be the only one not sick on this trip. )
jelly bean art
we had a little time to burn before our flight home so we headed to coit tower
after seeing it on a recent amazing race episode we thought why haven't we checked this out before.
we did a lot of first on this trip even though we've been here four time. we probably could go one more time and do more first lol
got back to Las Vegas just in time for it to be super dark on our drive home. Bristol slept the whole way and we were sad it was over. till next time
